Election 2024

Zaid Marham for Oxford East

How you can help

We are trying to build an opposition to the the two-party consensus but we don’t have wealthy backers or get the media coverage that Labour or the Tories get. We rely entirely on the efforts of our members and supporters. If you like what we say you can help by donating money to the campaign or by volunteering your time. You can also sign up to my email newsletter.

The Workers Party

Leader: George Galloway

George is a legend. He has been a fighter for human rights for 50 years and has always spoken out for the Palestinians. Since he was expelled by Labour over the Iraq war, he has won three parliamentary elections – in three different constituencies – all without the backing of a mainstream party.

A masterful orator, he spoke more times in the last 54 days of this parliament – after winning the Rochdale by-election – than many MPs do in a year.

Local candidate: Zaid Marham

Zaid grew up in Oxford, and attended Cheney School before going off to university.

He is a private tutor and has helped many students achieve top grades in A-level Maths and Chemistry. Non-political interests include science fiction, cinema, music, and football.

Political interests include socialism, peace, and civil liberties. He has been involved in campaigning against war for several decades.
